Students develop essential skills such as historical research methods, academic writing, source criticism, and interpretation of inscriptions, manuscripts, and archaeological evidence. Field visits to museums, heritage sites, forts, and archaeological locations are also an important part of learning, as they provide practical exposure to historical remains and cultural heritage.

The History Department also actively engages in academic and extracurricular activities such as guest lectures by historians, workshops, national seminars, and conferences. These activities help students and faculty stay updated with recent historical research and methodologies.
