L.D. Arts College was established in 1937, and for over nine decades it has remained a distinguished center of academic excellence, upholding strong moral values. Bhatt, Prof. Bansidhar Bhatt, Prof. Pradyumna Vora, Prof. Ramchandra Athavale, Prof. Esther Solomon, Prof. Jaydev Shukla, Prof. P. U. Shastri, Prof. Dhirajlal Shastri, Prof. Kantaben and Prof. Gajendra Panda. Prof. A. G. Bhatt was honored with the Bhandarkar Grammar Award from the University of Mumbai and was renowned as a “Modern Pāṇini”.
