The Department of English has had a glorious history of nine long decades, having been introduced in the year 1937, when L.D. Arts as a college was established. Since then, it has been one of the most vibrant and intellectually enriching department of the college, distinguished by its commitment to academic excellence, literary engagement, and the holistic development of students. Since its inception, the department has played a pivotal role in shaping generations of students by fostering language proficiency, critical thinking, creativity, and cultural sensitivity.
