It is therefore imperative that we strengthen our youth even more than yesteryears, as they have to be now prepared not only to dazzle at the National level, and shoulder the responsibility of creating a proud nation, but they now have to realign their roles as ‘global citizens’. Hence, first of all as a teacher, and secondly as the Administrative Head of a glorious Institute, I realize that my role has become more challenging and will require greater commitment.
Moreover, at the academic front, we step into a new era! The UGC has granted our esteemed Institution, the status of Autonomy. It will now give us the pathway to shape the futures of our students with a better system of pedagogy, instructional material, and syllabic freedom. Of course, this does mean that the already high bar of excellence that L.D. Arts college has established in the last nine decades, goes several notches higher!
But, as we have always done, as an entire unit – comprising of myself, my Faculty members, my Admin Staff, my students, and other stakeholders – we will welcome the new challenges, and give it our all to make the new era even more fruitful!
It fills my heart with pride and deep joy to welcome you to our college an institution that is not merely a place of learning, but a vibrant sanctuary where dreams take shape, aspirations find direction, and young minds blossom into responsible, compassionate individuals.
